    Cookie Policy

    WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that are installed on computers, smartphones, tablets and devices linked to the network during the visit and/or browsing on a website. The sites visited send the cookies to the browser used (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera), which stores them and makes them available to the sites concerned on the user’s next visit. Cookies may also be sent to the user's browser by other sites or  different web servers i.e. by third parties. This means that, while browsing, a given site may contain elements from other sites that include cookies visited before, such as images, sounds, maps and links to other pages.

Cookies allow visited sites to recognize the device used by the user while browsing, thus improving the browsing experience. Depending on the type of cookie and, therefore, the reason for which the cookie is installed, cookie allows to store users’ data for specific purposes, e.g. to make use of the site more effective, activate specific functions, monitor visit session or user activities on a site.

In particular, cookies allow to memorize the preferences entered, to avoid to repeat input of the same information during browsing (e.g. username and password), and to analyze the use of the site's services and content, in order to optimize the browsing experience and the services offered.

This website exclusively uses technical cookies and first-party and third-party cookies.

    TYPES OF COOKIES

Cookies can be distinguished according to duration, function and origin. Cookies can be classified into: technical cookie, analytical cookie, profiling cookie, first-party cookie and third-party cookie.

     1.  DURATION

    Session Cookies

This type of cookies are stored in temporary memory at the beginning of the browsing. Session cookies are erased automatically when the user leave the site and/or the browser is closed.

    Persistent Cookie

This type of cookies are stored also after the browser is closed. Persistent cookies are erased at the their expiration date.

    2.  ORIGIN

    First-Party Cookie

This type of cookies are directly installed on user’s devices and refers to a cookie created by the domain that a web user is visiting.

    Third-Party Cookie

During the browsing, the user may also have installed on his device cookies of different sites or web servers (the so-called "third-party" cookies); this happens because on the site visited there may be elements linked, through specific links, to images, maps, sounds and/or links to web pages of other sites and that are on servers other than the site visited.

These cookies are, therefore, installed by third party sites through the site on which the user is browsing.

If the user decides not to grant authorization for the use of third-party cookies, only the functions of the site that do not require these cookies may be used.

    3.  FUNCTION

    Essential “technical” cookie

These cookies are normally installed by the owner or administrator of the site in order to send a communication on an electronic communications network or to make a service available from a subscriber and/or a user. This type of cookies do not collect user’s personal data.

Without these cookies, some site features may be compromised and/or access to content may be limited. The installation of these cookies does not require the consent of the user.

    Functional “technical” cookie

These cookies allow to collect aggregated information about the number of users and how they visit the site.

These cookies allow the user to browse based on selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchasing), in order to improve the service provided to the user. This type of cookie may include personal information (for example, the username).

Without these cookies, some features and/or navigation between the pages of the site could be compromised. The installation of these cookies does not require the user’s consent.

    Performance cookie

These cookies are used to understand: if users are new or return, how they use the site, how they move between pages, how long they stay on the site and from which geographic area they are connected. Data do not identify the user as a person, but are anonymously aggregated by the analysis tools.

The deactivation does not compromise in any way the features offered by the site.

    Analytics cookie

These cookies are used to gather information on the use of the site, in anonymous form, and to obtain a statistical analysis of page views and the behavior of users. This analysis provides information and endorsements for improving the quality of the site and making more easily accessible the content most searched and of greatest interest for users.

Analytics cookies may be sent by the site or by third-party domains. These cookies do not allow the user’s personal identification data to be obtained in any way. Even if they gather data in anonymous form, analytics cookies installed by third parties are treated as profiling cookies and request user’s consent.

These cookie may be disabled and/or deleted using the settings of the browser. For more information use the “Help” option in your browser or click the following link: http://cookiepedia.co.uk/how-to-manage-cookies.

Some widgets on the site and made available by social networks (for example Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Google Maps, etc.) may use third-party cookies to improve their functionality. The deactivation of these cookies does not compromise the use of the site except for the sections in which the widgets can be installed (such as for the connection to videos or maps).
