SECO for in-store dynamic advertising displays

What challenges we faced

Besides thermal and limited space conditions, the most challenging aspect of this project was its complexity, due to the need for multiple USB and Ethernet-Ports, support of 2 independent displays, HDMI and also requirement of 4K display, WIFI-Module, LTE-Module and SSD. Furthermore, flexibility to support all kinds and sizes of displays was needed. All of this and much more was achieved with great engagement of our experienced hardware and software departments.

What we did

In close cooperation with the customer a fully-customized complex Carrier board was developed. In combination with our Qseven standard module a perfect customized solution for the application of the customer was found. This solution was led by our solution architect team with strong involvement of our hardware and software departments. The mechanical department also took part in this project, offering a customized cooling solution to optimize the results.

Results achieved

At the end, and this is always our main goal, there is a satisfied customer. Based on the customer’s time-to-market strategy, we offered a cost effective fully-customized platform with extended temperature range, reliable also in harsh environments. This was only achievable with a strong and experienced project management based on milestones that the teams delivered against.
