Engineering Services
SECO USA provides electronic design and production services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of electronic devices and systems.
Our US-based engineering team, program management, and supply chain professional expertise coupled with our relationships with test labs and manufacturing partners (SECO Italy and third-party US-based contract manufacturers) enable complete design solutions for our clients.
SECO USA electronic product solutions leverage SECO commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms to provide semi-custom circuitry and devices utilizing a process called Modified COTS (MCOTS). Modified COTS allows development of use case and technical requirement specific product with minimized cost, time to market, and risk.
Fully-custom circuitry and devices require more extensive development efforts and entail new functionality or a very unique form factor to meet an OEM’s specifications. SECO USA has a proud history of designing and delivering custom devices over a wide range of industries and requirements – from military battlefield devices, to medical diagnostic devices, to hazardous chemical sensors for explosive environments, to railway communications hubs, to nuclear power plan instrumentation.
Additionally, SECO USA can implement cloud-based services and supporting artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms on COTS, MCOTS, and fully custom product. Remote fleet management, software updates, geolocation, device health monitoring, and real time data collection are among the possibilities which increase security and lower total cost of ownership of distributed systems.
All custom electronic development projects utilize SECO USA’s five-phased design and development process led by a seasoned program manager to minimize risk and ensure project completion on time and on budget.
