What challenges we faced
Design a flight data recorder used in defense aircraft. The device must meet challenging functional and environmental requirements (including unpressurized high altitudes, extreme mechanical shock, and crash survival), and be long term manufacturable.
What we did
Designed the flight recorder ARM-based electronics, operating system, and rugged enclosure. Completed qualification test to challenging defense environmental and electromagnetic compliance standards.
Results we achieved
Qualification test results exceeded environmental requirements. SECO USA continues long term production of this custom defense device.
