At Embedded World Exhibition & Conference 2019, in addition to its vast array of products, SECO will be presenting its wide range of services, i.e. customized computing platforms, software customization, system integration and assembly.

SECO offers a plethora of options for customized computing platforms at all phases of production, from the design phase to the final product. First and foremost, the design review, i.e. the process of reviewing the general design of the product, providing the customer with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve the predefined goals.

What's more, SECO has a great number of off-the-shelf SBC solutions and, at the customer's request, can assume the design of the carrier board for modular computing platforms, to guarantee the highest degree of flexibility and further expand the potential of the product itself. And not only carrier board design: SECO's offer may include the full custom SBC design, which, combined with the previous service, grants the widest range of options. Most notably, all these services benefit from SECO's extensive cross-platform know-how regarding the x86, ARM and FPGA architecture. Last but not least, SECO is able to carry out design and production at its own HQ in Arezzo, Italy.

SECO's offer is not limited to hardware. Indeed, SECO also customizes the software, tailoring it to the customer's needs, and is a reliable technology partner that assists the customer at all stages of the development process. In particular, SECO has ample expertise with regard to customized BIOS, BIOS tuning, as well as firmware and driver development. SECO is well prepared to tackle the widest set of issues, being well-versed in both Linux BSP and Android development. Furthermore, it takes care of BSP development. Finally, it guarantees lifetime support for the customer's project, in this way ensuring the highest quality over time.

Ultimately, SECO is a benchmark technology partner when it comes to system integration and assembly, delivering, among other things, boxed solutions, touch displays and displays assembly. Of the ample set of off-the-shelf products by SECO, at embedded world the following solutions, often coming with pre-installed software, will be showcased: the SYS-B08-7, the SYS-B68-IPC, the SYS-A62-10, and the SYS-A90-IPC.

Among the Modular HMIs, SECO presents the SYS-B08-7, an embedded panel with 7” LCD display based on the NXP i.MX 6SoloX Processor, a smart, compact, industrial 7" touch system built with IoT in mind, and the SYS-A62-10, another embedded panel with 10.1” LCD display based on the multi-core NXP i.MX 6 SoC family.

When it comes to Boxed Solutions, SECO has developed the SYS-B68-IPC, a fanless, compact, versatile embedded box PC based on the Intel® Atom™ X Series, Intel® Celeron® J / N Series and Intel® Pentium® N Series (formerly Apollo Lake) processors. It comes with an integrated Intel® HD Graphics 500 series controller and, in terms of connectivity, presents 2x GbE, WWAN and WLAN M.2 module slots. Memory-wise, it features up to 8GB of LPDDR4 memory. The product is designed for many application fields, such as digital signage & infotainment, edge computing, industrial automation and control, IoT, medical devices, and robotics.

Finally, the SYS-A90-IPC is a boxed solution based on the AMD Embedded 3rd generation R-Series SOC (formerly Merlin Falcon) or G-Series SOC-I (formerly Brown Falcon). It is a next-generation single-board computer featuring an AMD Radeon™ 3rd-generation Graphics Core Next (GCN). When it comes to connectivity, the product is equipped with 2x GbE, 4x USB 3.0, 4x USB 2.0, and 6x RS-232. Memory-wise, it mounts up to 2x 8GB DDR4 SODIMM modules.

From 26 to 28 February 2019, the embedded world Exhibition & Conference, the leading international fair for embedded systems, is coming to the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, Germany. SECO, a renowned company in electronic embedded solutions and a proud, long-time exhibitor at the fair, has put everything in place to showcase the latest additions to its product range to the tens of thousands of expected visitors.

With a much larger stand than in previous years, in addition to its complete solutions for the industrial domain and IoT, for the very first time SECO will also host the UDOO product line and applications for makers, educators and IoT designers: SECO is happy to welcome visitors to stand 1.330 at embedded world 2019.
